Chad Long's PortfolioMerge is a wonderful program for reporting and visualizing portfolio-wide statistics and equity curves based on .xml files generated by TradeStation. 

To gain the benefit of PortfolioMerge, it is first necessary to run TradeStation on the symbols of your portfolio and save the .xml files manually, one-by-one.

Wouldn't it be so much easier to somehow have the computer step through your symbol list, running TradeStation on each symbol, and automatically saving the required .xml file?

What It Does

This macro reads symbols from a text file and types them in to TradeStation one-at-a-time.  After each symbol is typed, the macro pauses while TradeStation executes the strategy.     After the strategy has been executed, the macro performs additional operations to automatically generate and save the .xml file required by PortfolioMerge.  This process repeats until all the symbols have been processed.
